Susanna Elizabeth Cale-Massey

Our hearts are broken. After nearly two decades of love and companionship, our sweet Susanna Elizabeth - the eldest feline member of our family - crossed over Rainbow Bridge tonight. Susie had been growing more frail in recent weeks and had been steadily declining since about Christmas. Finally, her little body just wore out. Though she was small in stature, she was mighty in spirit and fought valiantly until the end. She was my Grandma's baby and we were both with her as she crossed over. She died peacefully in our arms here in the comfort of home just before midnight at 11:50 p.m. on Monday, January 15th. We always referred to her as our princess and the queen majesty of our family and came to us as a sick, stray kitten all those years ago.
