Some dogs come into our lives and quietly leave paw prints on our hearts. Others, like Sparky “Buddy” Stemple, leave an imprint so deep that they can never be forgotten.
Known lovingly by many names—Sparky, Buddy, Sparky Noodle, Sparkles, and Little Buddy—Sparky peacefully crossed the Rainbow Bridge on July 26, 2026, surrounded by the two people he loved most, his mom and dad, Dawn and Shawn Stemple, who held him close until his very last breath. Though his exact age is uncertain, Sparky was believed to have been born around 2013, and he spent nearly nine wonderful years filling his family’s lives with unconditional love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Sparky never wanted to be far from his mom. If she was nearby, that was exactly where he wanted to be. Their bond was one of a kind—a friendship built on unwavering loyalty, trust, and love that only a dog can give.
He lived life with endless enthusiasm. Nothing brought him more excitement than hopping into the Jeep or riding on the four-wheeler in search of deer. Just hearing someone mention the word “deer” would send him into a joyful frenzy of barking and anticipation. The phrase “find a mouse” was another favorite, instantly putting him on high alert as he eagerly searched for his next adventure.
At home, Sparky was fiercely protective of his beloved toys. Any toy with a squeaker didn’t stand a chance—he considered it his personal mission to remove every last squeaker, often spending hours happily at work. And when it came to snacks, few things could make his tail wag faster than Doritos or a piece of cheese.
Sparky’s love extended far beyond his parents. He was cherished by his Uncle Vince, who loved him dearly, and by his many animal siblings—Koda, Kyra, Timco, Jasmine, Jake, Dexter, and Zeke. His family also included countless kitty, rabbit, and horse siblings, making every day an adventure filled with companionship.
To know Sparky was to love him. He had a personality that could brighten any room, a heart that knew only loyalty, and a spirit that brought comfort and happiness to everyone fortunate enough to meet him. He wasn’t just a pet—he was family, a faithful companion, and a best friend whose love asked for nothing except to be close to the people he adored.
While our hearts are broken by his absence, we find comfort in imagining Sparky running freely once again, reunited in Heaven with his Grandpa Frankie and the many beloved fur siblings who went before him. There, there are endless fields to explore, squeaky toys that never run out, deer to chase, mice to find, and all the Doritos and cheese his little heart could ever want.
Though the house feels quieter today, the memories Sparky gave us will echo forever. His wagging tail, joyful bark, silly nicknames, and unwavering devotion will remain a treasured part of our lives.
Run free, sweet Sparky. Thank you for every ride, every cuddle, every laugh, and every moment of unconditional love. You were, and always will be, our Little Buddy.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
