How lucky are we to have loved something so deeply that saying goodbye feels this hard.
Mocha “Princess” Moon, 14 years young, passed away April 10th ,2026 surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. More than just a dog, she was a constant companion, a protector, and a piece of her family’s heart that can never be replaced.
Mocha lived a life full of simple joys and unforgettable moments. She loved swimming on the boat, feeling the wind during car rides, and tagging along for side-by-side adventures. Camp days were some of her favorites, but nothing quite compared to the excitement she had for a sweet treat especially her beloved Dairy Queen ice cream.
Her world revolved around her family. Her mom and dad weren’t just her owners they were her best friends, her comfort, and her home. She was fiercely loyal and protective, watching over two young girls as they grew up, always making sure they were safe. She was their guardian, their shadow, and their quiet source of comfort through every stage of life.
Mocha also shared a special bond with her brother, Moose. Wherever one was, the other was never far behind. You could almost always find them side by side, a pair that brought each other and everyone around them so much joy.
It’s said that a dog’s purpose is to love us, to teach us loyalty, and to show us what unconditional love truly means and when their purpose here is complete, they leave us with those lessons forever etched into our hearts. Mocha fulfilled her purpose in every possible way. She gave a lifetime of love, protection, and unwavering companionship, and though her time here feels far too short, her impact will last a lifetime.
To know Mocha was to love her. She had a way of making every day feel a little brighter and every moment feel a little warmer. Fourteen years will never feel like enough, but her family was so incredibly lucky to have spent every one of them with her.
Though she is no longer by their side, her paw prints will remain on their hearts forever. Run free, sweet girl. You will always be their Princess.
