Lucy Henson Obituary

Our sweet Lucy crossed the Rainbow Bridge, leaving behind a home that feels much quieter without her.

Lucy wasn’t just our Springer Spaniel—she was family, a constant companion, and, for me, a true therapy dog. She had an incredible way of knowing exactly when she was needed most. Whether she was curled up beside us or looking at us with those unforgettable sad eyes, she brought a comfort that only a dog can give.

She was full of personality and just the right amount of attitude. She loved carrying around her stuffed animal “babies” as if they were treasures, and she never turned down the chance to do her famous “tricks for treats.” If pizza crust, Cheez-It crackers, or popcorn were involved, she was ready to perform with enthusiasm and determination.

We will miss the little things the most—the silly expressions, the stubborn streak, the excited anticipation when a snack bag opened, and those unmistakable looks that could melt anyone’s heart. The routines we shared with her have become cherished memories that will stay with us forever.

Lucy reminded us that a dog’s love is simple, honest, and unconditional. She filled our lives with laughter, comfort, and countless moments of joy. While our hearts are broken, we are incredibly grateful for every year, every adventure, and every memory we were blessed to share with her.

Run free, sweet Lucy. Chase every squirrel, carry your stuffed babies proudly, and enjoy all the pizza crust, Cheez-Its, and popcorn your heart desires. Until we meet again, you will forever be loved, forever be missed, and forever be a part of our family.
