Jasper Cyphert Obituary

Jasper Cyphert was loved by all and was often chosen as everyone's favorite cat. He was outgoing and friendly. He was very keen on his surroundings and knew everything that was going on around him. He was very loving, our king of the house. When he stopped and rolled over, you couldn’t get away without giving him a belly rub. His favorite thing, though, was being cradled in your arms like a baby. This, indeed, was his favorite tummy rub position. He would stay like this as long as you would let him.

Jasper resided with his family, Jeremy, Missi, Izabella, Marcus, Jaxon, & Jase Cyphert, Mittens (birth sister), Sunny (sister), Chester (brother), Rain (sister), Vidia (niece), Eugene (nephew), and Fawn (niece). He also had a sister, Jasmine. He was preceded in death by his sister, Boots.

Jasper was famous for jamming up the printer. No matter where he was in the house, once that printer started, he was the first one there to sit on it and take stabs at the paper. He was also first to be at the front door every time it opened. He was always up for new adventures. In addition to being the fastest fur-baby in the house, Jasper loved playing in boxes with Izabella, watching video games with Marcus and Jaxon, and playing with Jase and his plushies.

Jasper commanded attention. He was gentle and kind. He loved eating and sneaking human food, especially sharing some of Missi’s popsicles. He loved climbing on the top of the fridge and knocking everything off. It didn’t matter to him whether it was day or night. The curtains also have his mark. He loved climbing them, and Jeremy would often have to go and rescue him from the top. Recently Jasper started climbing over our shoulders and onto our backs. The higher he was, the better.

To say that he is missed & loved, wouldn’t give justice to our hearts. There is a piece of all of us that is missing now that he is gone. Our chief is gone. We have shed many tears. We sat on the kitchen floor with all of the fur-babies and thought about you as we held onto the urn for your ashes. We looked at your long grey hair and smiled with tears in our eyes.

When we see you in heaven again one day, you will, without a doubt, get as many tummy rubs as you would like. Every time we go to the door, we miss your presence. We always said, “No. Stay!” This didn’t stop you though. Jasper was the best at being Jasper and no one can replace that. Our hearts long for you to return. You unexpectedly left us on September 22, we are still in shock & a little numb. Until we meet again, save some belly rubs for me.
